[Atala](https://analytics.blocktrust.dev/) [PRISM DIDs](https://www.w3.org/Submission/prism/) allow to associate EcDSA public key with a permanent identifier. The identifier is standardized as [PRISM DID](https://www.w3.org/Submission/prism/) by [W3C](https://www.w3.org/). This allows one to upgrade the public key in case it needs to be cycled or revoked, while maintaining the same identifier.
