Many governments introduce electronic ID programmes. These programmes usually store personal information within governmental database, and allow you to share this information.

This means sharing confirmed information, but no guarantees about your privacy. Indeed the basic way to use this data is simply to share them with an Authorizer, and putting a copy of these data into their database.

This means governmental e-ID schemes will not improve your privacy in the slightest.
